Dr. Erik Stalder grew up on the Monterey Peninsula in the California Central Coast region. After graduating Carmel High School in 1997, he attended California State University, Chico, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences in 2001. He then entered the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco where he earned his doctoral degree (D.D.S) in 2004. After graduation from dental school, Dr. Stalder practiced general dentistry in San Diego for several years. He then completed a two-year residency at the V.A. Medical Center in Long Beach, where he received his Certificate in Endodontics in 2010.
Dr. Stalder has held several teaching and volunteer positions, including clinical instructor in the Urgent Care Clinic at USC School of Dentistry, clinical instructor in the Endodontic Section at VA Medical Center Long Beach, and volunteer dentist and instructor at UC San Diego School of Medicine Student-Run Free Dental Clinic.
Dr. Stalder has over 20 years of experience in dentistry. He is currently board-eligible and is working towards becoming a certified diplomat through the American Board of Endodontics. His memberships include the American Board of Endodontics (ABE), the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), the California State Association of Endodontists (CSAE), and the San Diego County Dental Society (SDCDS). He is also the endodontist member in two San Diego chapters of the Spear Study Club, a national study club focused on excellence in dentistry and multi-disciplinary care.
Dr. Stalder has a wife, two daughters and a Border Terrier. When he is not spending time with family, he enjoys playing tennis and pickleball, lap-swimming, bike riding, reading, and relaxing with friends.
