We desire to provide our patients with high-quality, affordable endodontic treatment.
Fees for endodontic therapy are based on the complexity of the tooth and will vary with the number of root canals in each tooth. Our staff will discuss fee information with you before initiating treatment.
Patients are responsible for full payment of fees at the time of treatment. We accept Cash, Check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover and offer a payment plan administered by Care Credit. Obtain more information and pre-qualify for CareCredit prior to your appointment.
To facilitate access to our care, we are contracted providers with several PPO insurance plans. Please contact our office with questions about insurance and our involvement with your specific plan.
As a courtesy to our patients with insurance, we will file and track all the forms pertinent to your treatment. Your quoted fee is an estimate based on the accuracy of information provided by you and your insurance company. It takes into account claims previously processed by them; however, there may be outstanding claims from other offices that could reduce or eliminate benefits. You are responsible for knowing the specific coverage level of your insurance plan. You will be responsible for any deductible amount, co-insurance, or any balance not paid by your insurance company. You are encouraged to contact your insurance company to determine your co-payment and benefits prior to your first visit.
• Full payment of the patient's estimated portion of the total fee is due at the beginning of treatment.
• We will track your insurance for a period of 45 days. If no payment is received, your assigned claim will be released, and you will be responsible for the remaining balance. Patient payments are due within 15 days.
Any late insurance credits will be mailed directly to the patient.

Your first appointment will consist of a consultation to review your medical history, diagnose your dental problem and discuss your treatment options. Very often, we can perform the root canal treatment during this appointment. However, a complicated medical history or treatment plan will require a more extensive evaluation and possibly multiple visits to correct the problem.
Please refrain from taking pain medication at least 6 hours prior to your consultation appointment, as it can interfere with diagnostic testing.
Along with your patient forms, it will be important for you to bring:
• your referral slip and any X-rays if your dentist has not sent them to us
• a list of medications you are presently taking
• your dental insurance card or dental insurance forms completed – this will save time when processing claims
Building a foundation of trust by treating our patients as special individuals is vital to our success. Our entire team is dedicated to providing you with excellent, personalized care and service to make your visits as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
For our patients who are overly anxious about receiving endodontic treatment, we can prescribe an oral sedative medication. Triazolam (Halcion®), is a medication (in pill form) that can greatly minimize anxiety that might be associated with treatment. Although you will be in a very relaxed state, you will still be conscious and able to communicate with the doctors. Even though triazolam (Halcion®) is relatively safe, effective, and is metabolized after the dental visit, you should be aware of some important precautions and considerations. Our team will review all pertinent information with you at the consultation appointment.
There is a spectrum of the endodontic disease process, ranging from mild inflammation of the pulp to chronic infection of the pulp that has extended to the surrounding bone and periodontium. We are more concerned with providing quality care than quick care. If the anatomy in your tooth is complex and/or there are signs and symptoms of infection, it may require more than one visit in our office to successfully treat your problem. Dr. Stalder, Dr. Lewis or Dr. Lewis will discuss your specific case with you at the consultation visit.

What is Endodontics?
The word endodontic comes from the greek words endo meaning inside and dont meaning tooth. Endodontics is the branch of dentistry that is concerned with the morphology, physiology, and pathology of the human dental pulp and periradicular tissues. Its study and practice encompass the basic and clinical sciences including biology of the normal pulp and the etiology, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases and injuries of the pulp and associated periradicular conditions. Endodontics is one of the nine dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association.
What is an Endodontist?
Endodontists specialize in maintaining teeth through endodontic therapy, also known as root canal treatment. Endodontists, like Dr. Stalder and Dr. Lewis, are dentists with additional years of post-doctoral residency training specifically focused on diagnosing and treating problems associated with the inside structure of the tooth.
Our doctors have advanced surgical and nonsurgical skills that allow them to perform routine as well as complex procedures including retreatments of previous root canal therapies that have not completely healed. They are also experienced at finding the cause of oral and facial pain that has been difficult to diagnose.
We attend dental lectures, meetings, and conventions to stay informed of new techniques, the latest products, and the newest equipment that a modern dental office can utilize to provide state-of-the-art dental care. Also, being members of various professional dental associations helps us to stay abreast of the changes and recommendations for our profession.

"This was my first visit to Dr Stalder and his team for a root canal/crown and will be my 'go to' place in the future. I was getting considerable pain/sensitivity and felt quite anxious from some bad experiences at other places but Dr Stalder was extremely professional and gentle. He explained the entire procedure and I found this reasssuring. Went on a week's cruise just 2 days later and it felt so good to be able to eat cold foods without pain and a few cocktails ! Thanks to all the wonderful staff."

“I have an awesome dentist, and this awesome dentist referred me to Dr. Erik Stalder for a root canal late December 2016. This was my second root canal, and my second visit to Dr. Stalder in as many years, so I can say I speak from experience, and what good experiences they both were. On both first and second visit, I was treated with immense respect and consideration, and the dental treatment was extremely efficient and top notch professional. Dr. Stalder's calm and soothing personality is both very well suited to what he does, and makes anyone feel at ease. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone that asks me now, and in particular the amazingly talented and nice Dr. Stalder”

“Dr. Stalder is amazing. As a general dentist, I am very picky who I trust my patients with and Dr. Stalder sets the benchmark for all others when it comes to specialists. He treats my patients so well and his work is impeccable. My patients rave about how great he is and how comfortable they are throughout the whole process. No one likes the idea of having to get a root canal but all of my patients that have seen him explain how they "didnt feel a thing" and that they were really "worried for nothing". I think this is a testament as to how skilled he is at his profession- he makes the very difficult look easy. As if that wasnt enough, he is also wonderful about communicating with me to keep me up-to-date on my patients so that we can properly sequence their treatment efficiently and effectively. I couldnt ask for a better endodontist to work with. You are in good hands with him!”
