Dr. Erik Stalder attended California State University, Chico, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree.  He then entered the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry where he earned his doctoral degree. After graduation from dental school, Dr. Stalder practiced general dentistry in San Diego for several years. He then completed a two-year residency at the V.A. Medical Center Long Beach where he received his Certificate in Endodontics and completed research.  Dr. Stalder has held several teaching and volunteer positions, including clinical instructor in the Urgent Care Clinic at USC School of Dentistry, clinical instructor in the Endodontic Section at VA Medical Center Long Beach, and volunteer dentist and instructor at UC  San Diego School of Medicine Student-Run Free Dental Clinic.

Dr. Stalder is currently board-eligible and is working towards becoming a certified diplomat through the American Board of Endodontics.  
His memberships include the American Board of Endodontics (ABE), the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), the California State Association of Endodontists (CSAE), the San Diego County Dental Society (SDCDS), the North County San Diego Study Club (NCSDSC), and the Cast Gold Study Club.  He is also the endodontist member of the San Diego chapter of the Spear Study Club and serves on the San Diego County Dental Society New Dentist Committee.

When he is not spending time with his wife and daughter, Dr. Stalder enjoys lap-swimming, bike riding, reading, and relaxing with friends.
